- Dancing in the Rain.
I enjoy doing crafts. I just usually don’t have a lot of time for them. So I made up for that at Snowbird. One of the crafts was making a plaque with a saying on it. First, you had to paint the wooden plaque and then carefully peal the saying off the backing and stick it on the plaque. The saying I choose was
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; life is about learning to dance in the rain.
Such a simple saying and yet so profound. So often, we wait for things to get better instead of enjoying what we have now. It’s human nature, I guess. It’s true things are tight now; our assets are down, I don’t have as many clients as I would like and Richard is not working. So we are tightening our belts like everyone else. But we are not in danger of losing the house, we can meet all our expenses each month and we are healthy and happy.
My new plaque is in my office and will be hanging on the wall as soon as I remember the hammer and nails. It will be a good reminder when I feel like whining that things could be a lot worse. At least I can dance in the rain.
